Student evaluation of teaching staff

In accordance with the Methodology regarding the process of teaching staff evaluation by students at the West University of Timișoara (WUT), approved by the University Senate, starting from the 2025 academic year, the process of teaching staff evaluation by students will take place every semester in 3 stages, as follows:

• the first evaluation stage took place in the middle of this semester (between 31 March – 13 April for students in their final years of study, and 7–27 April for students in non-final years of study, respectively) and targeted the teaching activity carried out in the first half of the semester, and the results were made available to the teaching staff on the evaluare.uvt.ro platform immediately after the end of the evaluation period (on 14 April and 28 April 2025, respectively), in the form of a general report containing the average marks obtained for each question following the student evaluations and the answers to the open-ended questions;
• the second evaluation stage takes place at the end of the semester, between 26 May – 6 June 2025, targeting the teaching activity carried out throughout the entire semester, and the results will be made available to the teaching staff on the evaluare.uvt.ro platform after the completion of exam session C, the expiry of the deadline for entering marks into the electronic catalogue, and the conclusion of the third evaluation stage, at the beginning of August;
• the third evaluation stage will take place after the end of session B for each semester, targeting the way in which the evaluation of how learning outcomes were achieved by students throughout the semester and during the exam session was conducted, and the results will be made available to the teaching staff after the completion of exam session C, the expiry of the deadline for entering marks into the electronic catalogue, and the conclusion of the third evaluation stage, at the beginning of August.

The evaluation of teaching staff by students will be carried out via the platform evaluare.uvt.ro, with students logging in using their institutional @e-uvt.ro account details.

Even though students log in to the platform with their email address and password, the evaluation of teaching staff by students is 100% anonymous, as the responses are encrypted so that the authors cannot be identified; therefore, we encourage students to answer all the questions in the questionnaire as honestly as possible.

For each teaching activity they participate in this semester, students must complete a single feedback questionnaire, which contains 10 closed-ended questions and 3 open-ended questions – 2 mandatory and one optional. In the case of the questionnaire applied at the end of each semester, in the second evaluation stage, there is an additional question addressed only to those students who also responded to the evaluation questionnaire for that subject in the 1st stage of the evaluation process, in the middle of the semester, through which we aim to find out whether the feedback provided by students had an impact on the teaching activity carried out by the teacher in the second part of the semester.

The evaluation process remains complex, in order to collect in-depth feedback from students, as well as to ensure that it has a relevant impact starting even from the current semester; therefore, we kindly ask you to allocate the necessary time to go through all the questionnaires responsibly. Each evaluation questionnaire for a teaching activity can be completed separately; there is no need to complete all the questionnaires available on the platform at once, as you can carry out this activity in stages over several days.

The purpose of the evaluation of teaching staff by students is to collect students' opinions and feedback regarding the educational process they are undergoing this semester, in order to improve the teaching staff's activity and the educational services offered by the West University of Timișoara.

All teaching staff are required to allocate 10 minutes during all teaching activities they conduct while the evaluation platform is open, for students to complete the online evaluation questionnaires for that subject. Teaching staff may not interfere with or influence the evaluation process.

Should students encounter difficulties in the evaluation process or identify inconsistencies regarding the available questionnaires, we ask them to inform us by sending an email to , accompanied by screenshots of any errors.
